WRXY - Fort Meyers, FL is looking for a Full Time Traffic Coordinator & Marketing Assistant worker.

Primary Purpose:

The primary responsibility of the traffic Coordinator & Marketing assistant is to communicate to programmers, information that is pertinent for them and to know about the function of the business, implement procedures, maintain administrative systems with attention to detail and work closely with other departments at CTN corporate that support your location. Under the general managers supervision, this position coordinates daily television programming schedules and complete the monthly discrepancy report. The Traffic Coordinator & Marketing Assistant will serve as the administrator to the General Manager of WRXY.

Required Education and Experience

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • General office tasks such as: answering the phone and door, greet guests, sign for packages, etc.
  • Responsible for updating database and filing all updated contracts in software platform.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining business card database.
  • Assist general manager by investigating local churches, ministries, and non-profits in the ten counties CTN-WRXY reaches by making phone calls, creating a local quarterly newsletter to inform and connect, informing them of CTN-WRXY being in the region and its services we offer.
  • Assist manager in building viewership for the station through promotional tables at churches, events, and a strategic social media action plan.
  • Social media marketing including sending Facebook reels to all digital media platforms and assist in creating email blast such as testimonials, live broadcast productions.
  • Look for ways to increase cable, satellite, and online expansion of CTN-WRXY in the ten counties it reaches.
  • Connect with all independent, assisted living, nursing homes and hotels in ten counties to make the managers and owners of these facilities aware that the CTN-WRXY local channel is available to them.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Assist general manager at community events and networking opportunities.

Programming Responsibilities:

  • Assists general manager in the creation and preparation of daily program schedules.
  • Ensures all material broadcast programs conforms to industry standards and FCC regulations.
  • Prepares a variety of reports related to the CTN Southwest Florida broadcast schedule, including monthly discrepancy reports.
  • Creates broadcast logs; maintains database records and other files related to programming; performs daily program log reconciliation.
  • Interfaces with the sales department or GM, regarding the airing of programs and spots.

Production Responsibilities:

  • Assist in areas of the production department for studio and remote production shoots/live broadcast.
  • Coordinates and gathers pre-production elements and prepares them for production shoots.
  • Coordinates program recordings and maintains an inventory of the broadcast library.
  • Perform a quality control evaluation of programs produced in house before airing.

Social Media:

  • Familiar with social media technology and multiple digital media platforms.
  • Administer marketing campaigns and manage day-to-day activities that reach the appropriate target audience while positively and accurately reflecting The Brand.
  • Manage brand presence in social networking sites, focusing on awareness and engagement, ultimately reporting on effectiveness of campaigns. Stay current on social media trends.
  • Curate and develop relevant content (images, video, and written) to be distributed among various social media channels.
  • Monitor, listen, and respond to users.

Education Requirements:

Minimum: HS Graduate/GED
Prefer: A 4-year college degree

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous office experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Strong PC/MS office experience.
  • Competent working in Excel.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multi-tasks simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Works well within a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Always exhibit a professional attitude and be able to perform in a high-pressure environment.
  • Comfortable working with clients, pastors of various denominations and/or non-profit representatives.
